Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett spoke openly during a recent interview with MSNBC.

She called out what she described as a massive “transfer of wealth” happening under President Donald Trump’s proposed domestic spending bill, criticized his erratic public appearances, and promised that Democrats will launch serious investigations into Trump’s finances if they win back the House.

Crockett made it clear she believes there is plenty to investigate if Democrats regain control of the House.

“We will conduct oversight,” she said.

“That means that we will investigate. We will look at whether or not this president himself has violated the Emoluments Clause.”

Crockett, a member of the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees, said the bill Trump is backing would benefit only the wealthiest Americans while cutting deeply into programs that help working people.

“It’s nothing but a transfer of wealth,” she said. “All he’s doing is costing us money and giving us less resources overall.”

Bill Would Hit Safety Net Programs

The bill is expected to cost the government around $5 trillion and slash at least $700 billion from Medicaid and other safety-net programs.

According to Crockett, the tax breaks would mainly increase income for the richest households while reducing income for the poorest 10 percent.

“They have nothing to show for it except for, again, those top earners being able to buy their next trophy wife, or get their next yacht, or get their next plane,” she said.

“That doesn’t work for me. And that obviously does not work for my constituents.”

Criticism of Foreign Policy Optics

She also criticized Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s trip to Israel, calling it a “photo op” and questioning whether it had any real diplomatic purpose.

Crockett argued that the administration seems more focused on optics than substance, saying she doubted Noem was there to discuss increased security cooperation or respond meaningfully to the recent tragedy involving two young Israeli embassy workers.

“I doubt it is anything of substance,” she said. “That’s probably all Kristi Noem is good for is a photo op.”

West Point Speech Called ‘Unhinged’

Crockett didn’t stop there. She took aim at Trump’s recent commencement speech at West Point, calling it inappropriate and erratic.

“He literally sounds like someone who has broken out of the insane asylum,” she said.

“Our troops deserve better. Our graduates deserve better. We as a country deserve better.”

Tariff Threats and Market Fallout

When asked about Trump’s recent tariff threats, including a proposed 50% tax on European imports and 25% on iPhones not made in America, Crockett said the resulting market chaos was predictable.

“Right now, all the inflation that we are experiencing is self-inflicted or Trump-inflicted,” she said.

Wall Street’s Double Standard

She also accused Wall Street and the general public of giving Trump a pass that no Democrat would receive.

“The people gave him a pass when they elected him with 34 convictions,” she said. “He has gotten nothing but special privilege treatment.”

Concerns About Foreign Deals and Crypto

She brought up concerns about Trump allegedly receiving a $400 million plane from Qatar, his family’s ongoing business deals, and their interest in foreign investments like crypto and real estate.

“Think about how much money they are raking in,” she said.

“Whether we’re talking about the next golf resort that they’re setting up in Qatar, or whether we’re talking about this crypto scam…Let me tell you, there is no shortage of things for us to dig into and determine whether or not there have been only violations of the law, but violations of our Constitution as a whole.”

Crockett Eyes Committee Leadership Role

Crockett said she hopes to lead the Oversight Committee if the opportunity arises.

“I truly believe that God will never leave my side,” she added.

She said the American people deserve real oversight, and she’s ready to deliver it.
