In a new episode of The Tucker Carlson Show, host Tucker Carlson sat down with former CIA contractor and podcaster Shawn Ryan for an around two-hour conversation that covered a wide range of controversial topics.

They talked about whether the government is hiding things and if powerful people are using their positions for personal gain.

They didn’t shy away from tough topics. One moment, in particular, stood out: both men hinted at possible corruption involving the Trump family’s business ties in the Middle East.

A Rare Critique of Trump

Ryan voiced unease about the timing of major construction projects in the Middle East, particularly luxury hotels, appearing to coincide with U.S. foreign policy decisions under President Donald Trump.

“You know what like bothers me more than any of this sh*t,” Ryan said, “is that people have just lost the ability to critical thinking.”

He said it bothers him that so many people refuse to ask tough questions about Trump and treat him like he’s never done anything wrong.

Ryan also brought up some new hotel projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and wondered if they were connected to deals made when Trump was in office.

“And I’m like, did these like just get done also with the deals that just happened over there or was this earlier?” he asked.

“You would probably know,” he said to Carlson.

Carlson’s response was measured but significant: “No, I don’t know. I don’t know. You know, there’s that stuff kind of worries me. You know, it’s what seems like corruption.”

Not an Anti-Trump Rant

Despite the critical tone, Ryan was quick to clarify that he still supports much of what Trump stands for.

“I love everything he says and the majority of everything that he says,” Ryan explained, emphasizing that his concerns don’t cancel out his broader approval.

Still, both Carlson and Ryan found it troubling that issues like the sealed Epstein files or questionable overseas dealings have gone largely untouched by the Trump administration.

They wondered if these things were left out on purpose, as part of bigger problems with how the system works.

Bigger Systemic Issues

The conversation didn’t stop with Trump.

They accused the Joe Biden administration of hiding a cancer diagnosis and brought up the idea that Jeffrey Epstein was part of a multinational blackmail operation involving intelligence agencies like the CIA and Mossad.

They also got into some far-out topics, like the idea that the U.S. government might be keeping advanced technology hidden from the public, including things like anti-gravity engines.

A Warning About Critical Thinking

Despite all the sensational subject matter, the moment that resonated most was their agreement on the danger of political tribalism.

Ryan argued that the refusal to question authority, regardless of party, is destroying public discourse.

“Whatever that tribe says they’re going to do, they’re going to say they’re going to follow. And that’s sad. And um, I think that that could resemble the beginning of the end,” he said of the nation’s current mindset.

Carlson echoed the sentiment, noting how digital platforms have made it easier than ever to control public opinion.

“People seem much easier to control than ever before.”

A System They No Longer Trust

Ultimately, Carlson and Ryan weren’t just casting suspicion on the Trump family.

Their bigger concern was the overall structure of power in the U.S. and around the world.

They said the system feels fake, controlled by powerful forces that don’t answer to regular people, and that major decisions seem to happen behind closed doors.

And in a rare moment for right-leaning media, even the Trump family was not spared from scrutiny.

Their conversation suggested a belief that political loyalty shouldn’t shield anyone from serious questions, not Biden, not intelligence agencies, and not even the Trumps.
